Vereinten Kliniken Weimar

In Germany's cultural birth place, this new hospital recognizes the history of the Bauhaus and Goethe's philosophy in a functional building that creates a symbiosis with its landscaped context. Sculpted in a complex topography and located adjacent to a magnificent park, the building separates the hospital functions by three pavilions in a curvilinear solution, with a clear distinction of the vertical circulation towers that punctuate the horizontality of the different functional pavilions. Robots have been incorporated into the function of the hospital, and through computer programming, link the different sections.
